Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and AccessDiversity, Equity, Inclusion and Access (DEIA) are fundamental to BCTA/NA’s driving ethos as a proponent of the principle of wholeness that is central to Craniosacral Biodynamics. In alignment with these Craniosacral Biodynamic principles and values we are committed to centering race and gender equity in all we do. We are guided by a holistic perspective that celebrates the diversity of our community and champions the value of that diversity. As an organization whose purpose is to support our member practitioners, students and teachers in the practice of biodynamic craniosacral therapy, we recognize our arena of impact extends beyond us to our clients and their bodies. Diversity BCTA/NA is strengthened by the diversity of our network and our differences in background, culture, experience, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, gender expression, race, ethnicity, age, ability, political views, and more. We actively seek and welcome people of color, people who identify as LGBTQIA+ *, persons with disabilities and those who are at the intersections of these identities to join us. The diverse range of identities, experiences and perspectives welcomed into our community sustains BCTA/NA now and into the future. Equity requires dignity and well-being for everyone, and ensuring that resources and power are shared in ways for all people to realize our full potential, and contribute to thriving, sustainable communities. Inclusion is the act of creating space where each person is authentically valued, respected, and supported. Like diversity, inclusion is a work in progress. Inclusion is the fulfillment of BCTA/NA’s core mission, encouraging awareness of the Wholeness embodied in all. Access exemplifies a commitment to procedures and policies that facilitate access, an integral step to implementing these principles. * LGBTQIA+ is Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, Asexual or Other For your ongoing DEIA education and self-development as a BCST practitioner or student, visit our Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Access Resources.
